HookCast can be used without an account or login. The core planning tools are designed to keep personal trip details in your browser whenever possible.
HookCast does not sell personal information.
Local browser storage
HookCast uses browser storage for saved locations, preferences, fishing logs, and trip planner entries. Fishing logs and trip plans are stored on your device in your browser; they are not synced by HookCast across devices.
Forecast and location lookups
When you search or request a forecast, location details may be sent to configured third-party data providers so the forecast, geocoding, ZIP lookup, or weather alert request can work. See Data & Safety for the current source list.
Feedback form
HookCast may provide a one-way feedback form. The form collects feedback type, optional name, and message. The form does not collect email addresses, does not create an account, and does not provide a support or reply channel. Feedback submissions are stored privately for site improvement. Do not include sensitive personal information.
Ads and cookies
HookCast includes the Google AdSense script. If ads are approved or shown, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. HookCast should not be read as guaranteeing ad approval or ad display.
Your controls
You can clear HookCast local data by using browser storage controls, clearing site data, or using any in-app delete controls where available. Clearing browser data may remove saved locations, logs, trip plans, and preferences.
