Manual Fishing Trip Planner

Use this simple planner to pick a date, mark possible fishing windows, block off times when you are busy, save local planned trips, and build a basic checklist. It is manual, local, and not connected to outside calendars, email, accounts, or alerts.

How to Use It

Choose a date and select the parts of the day you would realistically fish. Then add any busy blocks such as work, dinner, school pickup, travel, or family plans. The planner subtracts those blocks from your selected fishing windows and recommends one remaining option based on simple planning preferences.

This is not a weather forecast. After you find an open window, go back to the main HookCast forecast and check current conditions for the actual fishing location. A good time slot can still be a bad choice if storms, dangerous wind, heat, flooding, closed access, or local rules get in the way.

For family trips, consider daylight, restrooms, easy bank access, shorter walks, and a backup plan. For bank fishing, think about parking, safe footing, and whether the wind direction helps or hurts. For boat and kayak trips, build in loading time and a conservative return plan.

The planner stores only this tool's simple state and saved plans in this browser using the key hookcastTripPlannerV2. It does not touch saved spots, fishing logs, settings, calendars, email, accounts, or external services.
